Abstract

In this work, the adsorption kinetics of pure CO2, N2 y CH4 on natural clinoptilolite (ZSL) from Villa de Reyes, San Luis Potosi, Mexico, and on clinoptilolite samples exchanged partially with Na+, K+, Ca2+ y H+ (ZSL-Na, ZSL-K, ZSL-Ca, ZSL-H) was studied at 20 °C using a high volumetric system. The adsorption uptake for the ZSL-Na, ZSL-K, ZSL-Ca, and ZSL samples, at short contact times, decreased in the order CO2 > N2 > CH4, whereas for the ZSL-H sample decreased in the order CO2 > CH4 > N2. The ZSL-Ca y ZSL-Na samples could be recommended for the separation of CO2 / CH4 and N2 / CH4 mixtures.
