Abstract

MARROQUIN, G. et al. Correlación entre los métodos FIA y SFC para la determinación de aromáticos en fracciones del petróleo. Rev. Soc. Quím. Méx [online]. 2002, vol.46, n.4, pp.362-367. ISSN 0583-7693.

Aromatics concentration in middle distillates (Straight Run Gas Oil, Kerosene and Jet Fuel) and hydrotreated products were measured by ASTM D-1319 (FIA: Fluorescent Indicator Adsorption) and ASTM D-5186 (SFC: Supercritical Fluid Chromatography) methods. With each method 180 samples were analyzed and with the experimental information a lineal correlation between FIA and SFC methods was developed. The average deviation between experimental and calculated aromatics concentrations was 2.3 %.

Keywords : aromatics; FIA; SFC; correlation.
