Abstract
GALLARDO, Tzayhrí et al. Preparación y caracterización de una arcilla porosa de estructura heterogénea (PCH). Rev. Soc. Quím. Méx [online]. 2003, vol.47, n.3, pp.240-244. ISSN 0583-7693.
A Porous Clay Heteroestructure (PCH) was prepared with a natural Mexican clay. The preparation method was a combination of those of PILCs (ion exchange) and mesoporous clay materials MCM (liquid crystal template). X-ray diffraction analysis of the PCH prepared, showed an increase of the interlayer distance (13.7 Å) with respect to that of the original clay (3.1Å). Nitrogen adsorption isotherms of the PCH showed an increase of the specific surface area of the material from 43 m2 / g to 305.5 m2 / g with an average pore diameter of 37.2 Å and a mainly microporous nature.
Keywords : Porous Clay Heterostructure; PCH; mesoporous clay.
