Abstract

CANO-ZEPEDA, Noé Israel  and  GANTE-AGUILAR, José Manuel De. Safety culture, a strategy for the prevention of biliary injury. Cir. gen [online]. 2018, vol.40, n.3, pp.179-183. ISSN 1405-0099.

Introduction:

Cholelithiasis has a high prevalence in the Western countries. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is one of the most practiced surgeries in México; for this reason, it is necessary to know the major complications associated. Biliary injuries have high morbidity and mortality. These complications have remained with a frequency of 0.1-0.4%. Today, a safety culture in laparoscopic cholecystectomy has been proposed as a strategy for the prevention of biliary injuries.

Keywords : Laparoscopic cholecystectomy; cholelithiasis; biliary injury; acute cholecystitis; safety culture; laparoscopy.
