Abstract
NAVA MURCIA, Ricardo. Archive fever and the writing of history. Hist. graf [online]. 2012, n.38, pp.95-126. ISSN 1405-0927.
The aim of the following paper is to discuss the historiographical consequences brought forth by a deconstruction of the concept of "archive" viewed through the emergence of new supports of archivation, its different ways of treatment and the malaise that constitutes its very condition of possibility: the necessity of destruction to ensure preservation. How far is it possible to historically think about the archive? This is the question around these reflections, placed in a specific target: the writing of history. It is from this field, historiographical practice, that the concept of archive itself is questioned through a review of philosopher Jacques Derrida's: Archive Fever: A Freudian Impression.
