Literary translation and translation theory can work as critical perspectives for looking at certain ways in which the world is organized. Thought in relation to the frontier paradigm and the linguistic, cultural and ontological separations that this produces, and seen from the point of view of certain literature produced on the borders, they tell us something about the naturalization of the divisions in which we live. Considered together, these elements can help examine possible poetics of migration in contemporary literature, and therefore, designate a particular mode of sensibility. Poetics of migration go beyond -without suppressing them- the thematic repertoires that deal with human displacement and thus describe the act of writing constituted by those elements. Thus, translation and frontier as a concept, articulated as a perspective to think migration -and not as mere thematic areas- speak of a possible future mode of sensibility to which the act of migrating summons us, questioning the national modes in which we conceive our ways of living in the world.
