Abstract

LEON-DUARTE, Gustavo Adolfo. Jacques Kayser and the Journalistic Genre. An Approach to Morphology and Media Comparison Studies in Latin America. Hist. graf [online]. 2022, n.59, pp.185-228.  Epub July 27, 2022. ISSN 1405-0927.  https://doi.org/10.48102/hyg.vi59.405.

This text aims to expand the discussion around the origin of specialized methodological studies on morphology and media comparison in Latin America. It examines the argumentative methodological relationships and the impact that the work of the French researcher Jacques Kayser created in Latin America. Two underlying aspects of the main subject of study are discussed: on the one hand, the balance of the bibliographic corpus that intertwines both the methodological and conceptual impact of morphology and media comparison studies, and on the other, the impact generated in the development of the disciplinary identity of journalism in Latin America.

Keywords : History of Communication; Latin American History; Journalism; Communication; Mass communication; Information Industry; Social Sciences.
