Abstract

The cinema as a mass media contributed to consolidate the official perspective of the Mexican Revolution in everyone’s imagination, this period coincides with investigations by intellectuals for those elements that constituted the identity of the Mexican, some stereotypes are created about Revolution and the peasants. Characters such as Francisco Villa were the object of interest by 1lmmakers, to a lesser extent Emiliano Zapata and very little of the regional caudillos, however, La Escondida, work of Miguel N Lira, was brought to the big screen in 1956 with the performances of María Félix and Pedro Armendáriz, the film and the novel are important to understand the vision of the armed movement in Tlaxcala in the various sectors of Mexican society.
