Abstract

TORRES ROJO, Luis Arturo  and  DIAZ GOMEZ, Zenorina. ¿Philosophy for What? A Provisional Approach from Prehistory. Hist. graf [online]. 2024, n.62, pp.91-118.  Epub Jan 26, 2024. ISSN 1405-0927.  https://doi.org/10.48102/hyg.vi62.509.

The text constitutes a journey of remembrance to the ritual and mysterious condition of wisdom in ancient Greece, as an operation aimed at building and preserving a political sociability. From that nourishing ground that gave rise to philosophy, we contrast our own time, marked by the productivist acceleration that dilutes time and spaces of life, and in which psychoactive substances that once formed part of a ritual process that allowed ways of apprehending the world, deeping the space and delaying time, currently have become part of the commercial machinery, so it is pertinent to grasp philosophy again, in the memory of the critical nature and provider of meanings that allows knowledge in its broad sense, as shown in the text.

Keywords : Wisdom; rituality; mysteries; philosophy and cultural criticism.
