Abstract

UVALLE-BERRONES, Ricardo. Public administration in the imperatives of democratic governance. Convergencia [online]. 2012, vol.19, n.60, pp.111-144. ISSN 2448-5799.

The article aims to analyze the conditions, processes and implications of contemporary public administration based on democratic governance, as it has been the most important concern, considering that the actors and times in the civil society of the twenty-first century increase the complexity of associated life, which responds to the force of public spaces, the requirement that administrative institutions to be more responsible, that managerial and operational performance have better development and that groups of society multiplied their presence in the formulation and definition of public policies, to structure in an articulated and consensual way, collective goals to be processed with the intervention of a skilled and efficient public management by the governing structure, as well as executive and operational areas which are in charge of nurturing the responsiveness of the contemporary State.
