Abstract

RIVAS, Gerardo; SERRANO-SANCHEZ, Lourdes  and  VEGA, Francisco J.. First record of Procaeculus (Acari: Caeculidae) in Miocene amber from Chiapas, Mexico. Bol. Soc. Geol. Mex [online]. 2016, vol.68, n.1, pp.87-92. ISSN 1405-3322.

The first ProcaeculusJacot 1936 (Acari: Trombidiformes: Caeculidae) is reported from the Miocene amber of Chiapas, Mexico. This is the third record for the genus in amber, the other two are from the Baltic (Eocene) and the Dominican Republic (Miocene).
