Abstract

ARIAS-MONTIEL, Manuel et al. Prototype of Robotic Hand Controlled by Electromyographic Signals with a Commercial Device. Comp. y Sist. [online]. 2021, vol.25, n.2, pp.307-315.  Epub Oct 11, 2021. ISSN 2007-9737.  https://doi.org/10.13053/cys-25-2-3464.

In this paper, the application of myoelectric commercial armband MYO® to control the motion of a robotic hand is presented. Data acquisition and processing is carried out by MATLAB® and the Classification Learner application. The processed data are used to control the servomotor which actuates the prothesis fingers by an Arduino® card. The robotic hand is printed in 3D from free code. The experimental results show it is possible to identify hand movements from forearm electromyographic (EMG) signals in order to execute basic movements with the robotic hand.

Keywords : MYO® armband; robotic hand; electromyography.
