Abstract
SAUCEDO RAMOS, Claudia L.. Los alumnos de la tarde son los peores. Prácticas y discursos de posicionamiento de la identidad de alumnos problema en la escuela secundaria. RMIE [online]. 2005, vol.10, n.26, pp.641-668. ISSN 1405-6666.
This study analyzes practices and discourses used by the teachers and students of a secondary school to construct the identity of problem students. From a sociocultural focus, the concept of identity positioning is used to analyze the ways a person, or problem student, is produced through dynamic processes not free from tension. The research was completed at a public secondary school, with an ethnographic method that identified the school personnel's practices of positioning, classifying and excluding afternoon students, whom they considered difficult to control. The results indicate that although students reject the teachers' positioning, their identity practices confirm that they are problematic.
