Abstract
MARTINS, Isabel et al. Transitando fronteras: reflexiones a partir del análisis del discurso de formadores de profesores de ciencias. RMIE [online]. 2006, vol.11, n.31, pp.1127-1150. ISSN 1405-6666.
The article analyzes the discourse of science professors who train teachers, in order to identify how they move between scientific and pedagogical discourse. We carried out interviews and observations in the professors’ workshops and analyzed the data, based on Bourdieu. During the workshops, hybrid discourse was produced, characteristic of the linguistic habitus of the scientific and pedagogical fields. The discourse showed the hegemony of one of the fields, associated with the professor’s articulations of his cultural and social capital. We discuss the need to search for the destabilization of that habitus, as well as the possibility of doing so. We also refer to the proposal that changes in the two fields can lead to the social agents’ accumulation of new forms of social and cultural capital.
