Abstract

This study is based on a distance course for the continuing training of physics teachers. The objective was to research the degree on-line discussion promoted the proposed training activities and the development of teachers’ professional knowledge. The analysis of the content of the on-line interactions showed that if the teachers become aware of their deficiencies through the critical analysis of the traditional teaching model, they discuss the difficulties of transition for a constructivist conception and the creation of new methodologies. The conclusion is that on-line discursive interaction led the teachers to reach important objectives of training, and to advance in the progression of professional knowledge.
