Abstract

INZUNSA CAZARES, Santiago. Entornos virtuales de aprendizaje: un enfoque alternativo para la enseñanza y aprendizaje de la inferencia estadística. RMIE [online]. 2010, vol.15, n.45, pp.423-452. ISSN 1405-6666.

This article presents an alternate learning setting based on the use of two computer programs (Fathom and Excel) for teaching and learning the estimation of parameters by confidence level, an unavoidable topic in most university statistics courses. The proposal was tested with a group of seventeen university students in the area of international studies. The results show that a high percentage of students was able to develop adequate reasoning on the topic, according to a questionnaire at the end of the course, and interviews with two students.
