Abstract

BEDACARRATX, Valeria. Professional Socialization in the Context of the New Millennium: The Management of Ill-being in Pre-professional Practice. RMIE [online]. 2012, vol.17, n.54, pp.903-926. ISSN 1405-6666.

This article reports the progress and results of two research projects carried out in successive phases. They share the intent of elucidating the subjective processes that are put into play in the initial teaching experiences of student teachers, and their relation with the socio-professional setting where they develop. The first part of the article presents contextualization relative to the characteristics of the research process, as well as to the study's theoretical and conceptual framework. Following this double contextualization is a summary of some of the interpretative hypotheses that attempt to contribute to understanding the processes involved in the subjective configuration of future teachers during their professional socialization.

Keywords : teacher education; socialization; educational crisis; subjectivity; practice teaching; Argentina.
