Abstract

VAZQUEZ-ZENTELLA, Verónica; PEREZ GARCIA, Teresa Verónica  and  DIAZ BARRIGA ARCEO, Frida. The Case of Juan, the Triqui Boy: A Teacher Training Experience in Intercultural Education. RMIE [online]. 2014, vol.19, n.60, pp.129-154. ISSN 1405-6666.

The Case of Juan, the Triqui Boy is an e-case that offers a digital narrative of the problems of discrimination and the exclusion of students from diverse cultural contexts, along with the lack of teacher preparation for addressing intercultural education in the classroom. Presented is the systematization of the educational experience that leads to the validation of this case with normal school students who are preparing to be preschool teachers. The discussion centers on the teaching and learning activities involving analysis and reflection on educational inclusion in the framework of interculturality, as well as the conceptions and case solutions proposed by these future teachers.
