The objectives of this study are to identify the resources and strategies of participation in the schools of three autonomous communities in Spain, and to identify the perceptions of teachers and families with regard to the culture of school participation. An exploratory survey was used, with the intervention of teams of school administrators, teachers, and families. The results show spaces, activities, and community relations, as well as a positive perception of collaborative culture and citizens’ commitment to participation. The conclusions point to a need to improve shared leadership and to develop a curriculum with improved links to the surroundings.
