LEON DIAZ, Fredy; DUQUE BEDOYA, Erika and ESCOBAR IBARRA, Paola. Strategies for Formulating Quality Questions Mediated by Augmented Reality for Strengthening Scientific Thinking. RMIE [online]. 2018, vol.23, n.78, pp.791-815. ISSN 1405-6666.
Augmented reality is an emerging technology that provides educational opportunities, especially because it motivates students. The purpose of the research presented in this article was to analyze how the strategy of formulating questions, mediated by augmented reality, contributed to strengthening students’ scientific thinking in two public schools in Colombia. The study is qualitative, and the results indicate that the students appropriated the structure and characteristics of the quality questions. The resulting improvement in the questions produced is associated with improved quality of student thinking. Another observation was that mediation with augmented reality had an effect on the students’ interest, motivation, and perception of achievement.
