Abstract
ALAMOS-GOMEZ, José and MONTES ANGUITA, Rodrigo. Creativity and Collaborative Learning in Secondary Education: A Teaching Experience in a Music Classroom. RMIE [online]. 2022, vol.27, n.92, pp.155-183. Epub Mar 14, 2022. ISSN 1405-6666.
The development of creativity through group work has special relevance in formal contexts of music education. This study describes and analyzes a teaching unit of rhythm composition in groups, as part of a music course, with emphasis on elements related to creativity and collaborative learning. A case study method was used, in which the participants were sixteen secondary students from a school in Chile. Through reflective, creative, and interpretative activities, the students attained the proposed educational objectives. During the process, elements were observed that coincide with the characteristics of pedagogical/creative practices in formal education--elements considered relevant for strengthening knowledge that is linked to creativity and is consistent with the definitions and characteristics of collaborative learning.
