Abstract

BATLLE RODRIGUEZ, Jaume  and  GONZALEZ ARGUELLO, Mª Vicenta. Online Practice in Training Teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language: Perceptions of Preservice Teachers. RMIE [online]. 2022, vol.27, n.93, pp.387-405.  Epub June 06, 2022. ISSN 1405-6666.

The exceptional situation that arose in March of 2020, led to a lockdown that modified all university teaching. In training teachers of Spanish as a foreign language, important changes were made, including the transition from face-to-face to virtual practice teaching. The current study researched the perceptions of preservice teachers regarding their online practice teaching, as well as their level of satisfaction with that teaching. For that purpose, the preservice teachers completed a questionnaire at the end of their student teaching experience. The analysis of data shows a high degree of satisfaction with the online practice teaching, while reporting certain disadvantages, related mostly to connectivity and the lack of preparation for this type of teaching.
