Abstract

MARTINEZ VILLALOBOS, Gustavo  and  RUIZ RODRIGUEZ, Diego. Impact of a Flipped Classroom with Emerging Technologies on a Basic Engineering Course. RMIE [online]. 2022, vol.27, n.94, pp.971-997.  Epub Aug 22, 2022. ISSN 1405-6666.

The implementation of the flipped classroom methodology and the use of emerging technologies in educational processes represent an innovative approach to traditional education, which also implies relevant research on teaching strategies and digital media for teaching and learning. Is it possible to enrich the learning of logic and algorithmic thinking with the inclusion of methodologies supported by various emerging technologies? This study presents the results of using some of these technologies in a basic engineering course. A methodological focus of a qualitative nature was employed, based on surveys of two groups of second-semester students in computational mathematics. The results indicate student improvement in attitudes and academic performance.

Keywords : educational technology; educational alternatives; pedagogy; engineering; teaching methodology.
