Abstract

CASTRO MENDEZ, Nina. Reproductive-work's temporalities of mexican women from tree cohorts. Pap. poblac [online]. 2004, vol.10, n.41, pp.107-139. ISSN 2448-7147.

The interrelation between feminine employment and fertility from the diachronic perspective is approached in this paper starting from analyzing the labor years dedicated by Mexican women's cohorts in three different fertility functions among their life course: during the lived years without children, during the lived years with children of six years or less and during the lived years with children of more than six years old. One of the most important results of this investigation is the explicit knowledge of the years that women lived with work in each one of the reproductive roles; it is observed the increasing inter-cohort economic participation of women, specifically during the relation years per person lived as mothers of more than six years old children.

Keywords : work and family; feminine employment; life course; temporalities; labor trajectory; Mexico.
