Return migration scenarios of retired migrants from the province of Jaen, Spain. One of the aims of social research is to create typologies in order to organize phenomena and analyze their complexity, which is commonly got through a 'natural' depiction of data. This is the case of the return migration and of the typology established here, as a result of a wide analysis on Life course of the retired emigrants of the province of Jaen. Factors and expectations of return. The different types of return described act as 'scenarios' shaped by a set of individual, family and social aspects and circumstances, leading the emigrants to take the decision to return. Sometimes it is not been sufficiently decisive to discern which aspect of them acts as a close factor in the decision of the return; in other cases, there is only one to trigger it.
