Migration of students: an aspect of the international trade of higher education services. The present article explores one of the dimensions in the internationalization process of higher education, which concerns to temporal students migration with the professional training and obtaining the degrees. Some characteristics of the international panorama are analyzed, reference to the current debate on the subject is done, it is reflected on the relevant indicators for the case of Mexico, and a comparison between the consumption services abroad of the higher education and the direct foreign investment in the sector is included.
