Abstract

MEJIA MODESTO, Alfonso. Determinants of reproductive health in Toluca Metropolitan Zone. Pap. poblac [online]. 2005, vol.11, n.46, pp.245-279. ISSN 2448-7147.

This paper presents the situation of reproductive health using four determinants at the Toluca's metropolitan zone: the first intercourse, risk practices, nuptiality patterns, and unplanned pregnancy and fertility. Migration and affiliation to social security system for fertility are identified as determinants of variations in gender and nuptiality patterns for the first union. Risk practices are conceptualized and delimited. The first intercourse is totally different in each gender.

Keywords : reproductive health; sexual life; fertility; gender; Toluca Metropolitan Zone; State of Mexico; Mexico.
