Abstract

MARTINEZ-PIZARRO, Jorge  and  REBOIRAS-FINARDI, Leandro. Migration, human rights and sexual and reproductive health: a complicated equation at the borders. Pap. poblac [online]. 2010, vol.16, n.64, pp.09-29. ISSN 2448-7147.

Some problems that arise from the intersection of international migration, human rights and sexual and reproductive heal are analyzed in five border regions in Latin America, considering the conditions of accessibility and the specific territorial scenarios, where a greater vulnerability and exposure to risks for the mobile populations is propitiated. We distinguish that migrants of borders are a collective whose life conditions are continually undermined or they deny the exercise of their human rights and make the migrants be in practices and situations of risk. We state some conclusions to contribute to the design of a regional agenda on migration, rights and sexual and reproductive health at border regions.

Keywords : migrants; borders; vulnerability; human rights; sexual and reproductive health.
