Abstract

The objective of this work is to make a comparison of data obtained in the Census of Population and Housing 2010 and the projection for the same year of the National Council of Population (CONAPO). The differences will be discussed from a demographic perspective by age groups and sex at the national level. Prior to the analysis population census results, evaluates the quality of the data associated with the ages of the population declaration, as well as its correction and adjustment on June 30 of the year 2010 and thereby make the comparison with the CONAPO projections. Highlights the implementation of demographic techniques that estimate the deficiencies in the declaration of age the population enumerated in the year 2010, as well as the techniques used in the breakdown of five-year groups to individual ages of the mexican population, illustrating the pyramids of ages reflecting the differences in the Census and CONAPO projections.
