Abstract

MARTINEZ-CABALLERO, Graciela  and  MONTES-DE-OCA-VARGAS, Hugo. Aging and migration in the municipalities of the State of Mexico. Pap. poblac [online]. 2012, vol.18, n.73, pp.205-240. ISSN 2448-7147.

In this article the process of aging and it link to migration in the State of Mexico and municipalities, territorial, distribution and the challenges faced before the migration-population aging process are analyzed. Considering that population movements have acquired a significant status to understand and explain the demographic dynamic of geographical units at global, national and local scale, the origin and destination of migratory flows through their age structure become a necessary referent to explain the patterns of geographic distribution of the aging process in the state of Mexico.
