Using data from the 2011 National Survey of Household Relations Dynamics ((ENDIREH, 2011) the prevalence and factors associated with dating rape among Mexican young women are thus documented. A univariate, bivariate and multivariate statistical analysis was carried out and we also construct several index. 1.7 per cen of women aged 15 to 29 reported have been forced to engage in sexual intercourse at least once while dating. These findings suggest a high prevalence of rape in dating relationships and make visible that sexual violence is highly associated with other kind of violences against women but also with gender inequities and normativities prevailing in the mexican society.
