This paper presents the implementation of an interface for resistive sensors, based on the ratiometric technique. Resistive sensors applications have been increasing in the industry for the measurement of different physical and chemical variables. These sensors must be converted into a digital signal to be compatible with a computer, DAQ system, microcontroller or microprocessor using an interface. The proposed interface consists of a resistance to period converter. The Proposed circuit was implemented in a PSoC PL5 board using programmable analog blocks. A dynamic range of 136dB was obtained, with an input of 5Ω to 36MΩ. In addition, performance of the circuit was tested with three commercial sensors.

Keywords : ReadOut Circuit; PSoC; Resistive Sensors; Period-to-Digital Converter.
