Tropical cyclone disasters and their consequent floods have positioned themselves as one of the phenomena with the greatest human and economic losses in the world. Some tropical cyclones may be related to climate change and projections indicate that they will worsen, with which disasters will be even greater. Hence the importance of identifying the elements that are allowing the tropical cyclones to derive in floods in affected populations. A methodology is proposed to analyze vulnerability to floods. The results allow to offer suggestions that contribute to the reduction of the problem with the participation of high school teachers.
