Abstract

REYES PEREZ, Oscar; LOREDO SANCHEZ, Minerva Abigail; CASTANEDA CAMACHO, Xochizeltzin  and  AGUILAR ROBLEDO, Miguel. Methodology for mining economic assimilation in Zacatecas, Mexico. Econ. soc. territ [online]. 2020, vol.20, n.62, pp.871-902.  Epub May 26, 2020. ISSN 2448-6183.  https://doi.org/10.22136/est20201415.

The theory of territorial economic assimilation was first introduced in Mexico in the late eighty; since then, few methodological innovations have been proposed. Based on this theory, this paper analyses mining as the prevailing economic activity in the Mexican state of Zacatecas. To do so, it was necessary to modify the selected variables, elaborate new indicators and adjust the criteria in the formation of the necessary typological clouds for cartographic representation.

Keywords : economic assimilation; methodology; mining; Zacatecas.
