Abstract

CHEVEZ, Pedro Joaquín; MARTINI, Irene  and  DISCOLI, Carlos. Identification of user profiles for the address of energy improvement programs (La Plata-Bs.As.-Argentina). Econ. soc. territ [online]. 2020, vol.20, n.63, pp.303-333.  Epub Oct 21, 2020. ISSN 2448-6183.  https://doi.org/10.22136/est20201541.

A methodology for the classification and characterization of residential energy user profiles is developed, in order to address specific measures of energy efficiency and renewable energies that allow optimizing the use of resources. A database of 395 surveys collected in La Plata (Buenos Aires-Argentina) is used as a case study, on which the primary energy consumption is calculated for each user and, then, they are classified into consumption profiles. Finally, socio-demographic and energy variables/indicators are analyzed for each profile in order to identify critical aspects and propose specific guidelines for energy improvement.

Keywords : consumption profile; energy; residential sector; energy efficiency; renewable energy.
