Abstract

STEIMBERG, Rodrigo. Urban state infrastructure in workforce production. Econ. soc. territ [online]. 2021, vol.21, n.66, pp.359-382.  Epub Oct 04, 2021. ISSN 2448-6183.  https://doi.org/10.22136/est20211651.

This paper analyzes the role of urban state infrastructure in the production of labor power. First, it is presented as part of indirect salary, which opens the question regarding its link with class struggle. It is affirmed that the latter constitutes the way in which the individual consumption of workers is determined by the productive consumption of capital. This perspective, finally, introduces the reflection on the state, since it is maintained that the needs of the productive consumption of capital do not manifest themselves directly in the state, but it is mediated by the class struggle.

Keywords : urban state infrastructure; labor power; class struggle.
