This research addresses the socio-environmental problems of fishermen and maize farmers in Lake Cuitzeo, Michoacan, Mexico, through a Social Responsibility approach based on a survey applied to 419 fishermen and farmers in 25 locations in the region. The farmers and fishermen identify actions that have negative environmental and social impacts, such as the use of agrochemicals, sewage discharge, litter, usage of prohibited fishing nets, and the exclusion of vulnerable social groups in fisheries and agriculture activities.
