MACIAS-BARRETO, Citlalli  and  ROJAS ALARCON, Evelia. Indigenous business identity: a comprehensive interpretation from the capabilities and cultural dimensions approach. Econ. soc. territ [online]. 2022, vol.22, n.69, pp.493-518.  Epub Oct 16, 2022. ISSN 2448-6183.  https://doi.org/10.22136/est20221803.

This research presents an analysis of the Business Identity carried out in Purépecha artisan enterprises, through 10 semi-structured interviews applied in depth, through convenience and snowball effect sampling. For the data analysis, an integration of approaches based on capabilities and cultural dimensions was used. It was concluded that to improve the quality of public policies, it is necessary to align them in accordance with the producers’ business identity, which is related to the social and cultural context. We also contribute to future research on enterprises by integrating the qualitative variables used in the analysis.

Keywords : theory of the firm; indigenous; integrative perspective; entrepreneurship; craft promotion.
