Abstract

AREVALO MARTINEZ, Jessica  and  ARMAS AREVALOS, Enrique. Tourism as an option for local development in Mineral de Pozos Guanajuato, Mexico. Econ. soc. territ [online]. 2022, vol.22, n.70, pp.983-1012.  Epub Nov 14, 2022. ISSN 2448-6183.  https://doi.org/10.22136/est20221870.

This article analyzes the perception of the population of Mineral de Pozos regarding the “Magical Towns” programme as an instrument of local development. The data were analyzed through a model of structural equations by the partial least square’s method (PLS-SEM). The identified variables suggest that people perceive an improvement in the economic dimension of the development of this locality. Therefore, we conclude that there is a direct impact of this Program on the perceived improvement of living conditions in this Magical Town.
