Abstract

VANOLI, Fernando  and  CEJAS, Noelia. A modern trap for rural habitat. Development and processes of (de/re)territorialization in Córdoba, Argentina. Econ. soc. territ [online]. 2022, vol.22, n.70, pp.1039-1066.  Epub Nov 14, 2022. ISSN 2448-6183.  https://doi.org/10.22136/est20221909.

This article analyses the ways in which development and its narrative transform and order the rural territory northwest of the province of Cordoba (Argentina). Following a qualitative perspective, we study public and private policies that reach the territory, analyse statistical data and recover results from fieldwork in the region. As a result, we account for the specific types of (de/re) territorialisation that the development narrative effects on rural ways of inhabiting.

Keywords : habitat; territory; development; rurality.
