Abstract

The objective of this research is to show the results obtained from the correlation between the age of shop owners, the innovation implemented in their business models and the economic effects brought about by the covid-19 health crisis, in the municipality of Jerez, Zacatecas. We found that innovation is proportionally inverse to the age of shop owners, that the shop owners' age conditions to some degree the permanence their business in the face of the covid-19 pandemic and that older people are more vulnerable to an economic crisis fancing covid-19.
