Abstract

GUTIERREZ RIVAS, Rodrigo. El derecho fundamental al agua en México: un instrumento de protección para las personas y los ecosistemas. Cuest. Const. [online]. 2008, n.18, pp.71-90. ISSN 1405-9193.

This article refers to the fundamental right to the water in Mexico; it uses the theory of the constitutional guarantees which is based on the idea of the State as an instrument created by the citizens with the principal idea of better the conditions of life of all persons, the survival of others animal populations and the sustainability of the ecosystems. In reference to the problem of the water, an ample sector of the population in Mexico is having an important discussion over the possibility and the convenience of the fundamental right to the water. This is because the administration and the academy and the society are conscious of the scarcity of this resource and she is in grave peril. The right, and specifically the social and environmental rights seems an instrument capable of collaborate in the construction of this spaces.
