This article presents the results of qualitative research work with a gender perspective conducted in a semi-rural village in the state of Sonora under conditions of poverty and marginalization, with the purpose of getting acquainted with the teenager's perspective about the development of the appropriation of sexual and reproductive rights. The information, perceptions, and experiences that teenagers who go to school have about sexual and reproductive rights are analyzed. Factors that contributed or limited the process of appropriation rights are identified, showing that the social and cultural construction of bodies reproduces sexist stereotypes that lead to the social reproduction of generic in equality and a different appropriation of rights by men and women.
