Abstract

DALTON, Margarita. Intellectual in Captivity: Interview with Salomon Nahmad. Desacatos [online]. 2002, n.9, pp.163-176. ISSN 2448-5144.

This interview is a testimony ofthe days when anthropologist Salomon Nahmad was imprisoned, unjustly accused of corruption when working at the National Institute for Indian Affairs. It is a testimony ofhow power and the political system of the 1970's distorted information and imprisoned an anthropologist who questioned the system and tried to change it by supporting novel projects to the benefit of Mexico's indigenous population.
