Experiences and results obtained by the Faculty of Zootechny of the Chihuahua Autonomous University with the implementation of a system of quality management are presented in this article. The methodology was based on a process of strategic planning, focusing models for the quality of official organisms in the state, national and the international scopes. The performance of 25 indicators related to educational research activities, extension and administration was improved. It is concluded that the administration of the institutions of superior agricultural education, focused strategically towards quality, improves its processes and results being compatible with the institutional development.
