Abstract

The main goal of this article is to examine the theoretical-methodological perspectives of the study of social movements, internet and social network sites from 1997 to 2017, where we identified the academic texts, exploring how the studies have evolved during two decades and the research approach from a sociocultural perspective with the aim of having a panorama of challenges in the future about research in social movements, internet and social network sites.
