Abstract

MIJANGOS NOH, Juan Carlos  and  MANZO CABRERA, Karla Sugey. Gestión del conocimiento de tres cuerpos académicos consolidados del área educativa. Sinéctica [online]. 2012, n.38, pp.1-13. ISSN 2007-7033.

Departing from a review of the concept of knowledge management, through which we establish a conception of the term, we examined the actions taken and products achieved by three consolidated academic groups in the educational area, each of them from public Mexican universities from various provinces and acknowledged by the Program of Faculty Improvement, instituted by the Mexican Ministry of Education. The processes followed by these three consolidated academic groups were analyzed examining the characteristics of the knowledge management performed by professors in the following aspects: the institutional and normative setting where the management process took place; the goals, actions and results of the management process; and the trajectory of each of the three academic groups in relation to the organizational process, which allowed each one to achieve good quality products, as evaluated and acknowledged by their academic equals. The conclusions allow us to recognize the patterns followed by the academic groups under study and, eventually, to identify models that could be useful to other academic groups in catalyzing their processes toward consolidation, through appropriate knowledge management.

Keywords : knowledge management; academic groups.
