The results of the oriented research project “Daily life and access to rights in prison” are presented here. Traces of senses” whose central objective was to deepen the knowledge and analysis of the conditions of daily life in the prisons of the central zone of the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Through collective qualitative investigation, it was proposed to identify and characterize the traces in the subjective construction of the people who pass through the academic and extension programs of the National University of the Center of the Province of Buenos Aires as a way of assessing the presence and task of the University in this territory. As an emerging issue, aspects related to access to work in detention and its projection to return to life in freedom were identified.
