LOPEZ-PEREZ, Gabriel Bernardo; NORZAGARAY-BENITEZ, Claudia Cecilia; SOTELO-CASTILLO, Mirsha Alicia  and  FRAIJO-FIGUEROA, José Alberto. Adaptation and validation of a scale of technological use in superior teacher’s. Sinéctica [online]. 2023, n.61, e1576.  Epub Dec 01, 2023. The evaluation of technological use, as well as its research is important to be able to make predictions about aspects that promote it, therefore, the objective of this research is the validation of a scale of technological use by teachers at a higher level. A sample of 69 teachers belonging to public and private universities in northwestern Mexico was used, and the Tuapanta et al. (2017) scale were adapted and validated. During the adaptation of the instrument, the back-translation technique was used; for construct validity, exploratory factor analysis was used. The results yielded a unidimensional solution which was subjected to a confirmatory factor analysis, which confirmed the structure with adequate practical and population fit indices; finally, internal consistency was analyzed using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, yielding a satisfactory score on the final scale. It is concluded that the adapted version of the scale is valid and reliable for the evaluation of the reality of higher education teachers in Mexico.

Keywords : psychometric validation; teacher’s technology use; educational technology; university teachers; superior education.
