Abstract

RODRIGUEZ, Blanca Alberta. Of slowness. Tóp. Sem [online]. 2011, n.26, pp.111-133. ISSN 2594-0619.

In this essay, from an etymological and lexicographical review, the author creates a very particular concept of the term slowness, since she explores other more encompassing senses than the common sense that it refers to movement or action. She conceives it then as a semantic nucleus that intertwines different forms of the ethical being. It stops in several poetic manifestations in which slowness is expressed as the foundation of an ethic, invariably blended with esthetics, in and for life; in sum, as a way of life.
